Learn how car finance works and the vehicle finance process at Tracer Finance, from initial proposal and approval through to collection and ongoing support.
Arranging vehicle finance doesn’t need to be complicated when you understand the vehicle finance process. I guide you through each step of the process, keeping things clear and straightforward from the first conversation through to vehicle collection and beyond.
You don’t need to have everything decided at the start. I’ll talk things through with you and support you at every stage.
This is where the process begins. I’ll gather some initial information from you to understand what you’re looking to do and to check which finance options may be available.
You don’t need to have chosen a specific vehicle at this stage. All you need is a rough idea of your budget and whether you have a deposit or a vehicle to part exchange. I’ll use this information to approach lenders and begin the car finance application process to find suitable options for you.
Once your application is approved through the vehicle finance approval stage, you can either start looking for a vehicle or move forward if you’ve already chosen one.
At this point, you may be asked to pay a small holding deposit directly to the dealer. I’ll then guide you through ID verification, explain the finance agreement clearly, and help you review and sign the required documents. I’ll liaise with the lender and dealer on your behalf, so you don’t need to worry about the paperwork.
When everything is in place, arrangements are finalised with the dealer and payment is made, ready for collection.
This is also when any remaining deposit is paid or your part exchange is completed with the dealer. Once that’s done, you’re free to collect your vehicle and enjoy it.
My support doesn’t stop once you’ve collected your vehicle. I remain available throughout the term of your agreement to help with any questions, settlements or refinancing requirements.
